Last Saturday we had a party for a friend out in Palo Verde, my favorite Colorado River weekend getaway. She had just had her 40th birthday, and I was asked to make a river themed cake to celebrate the occasion.

It was my first time making figures, but I really wanted to make characters representing my friend and her boyfriend. After one massively failed attempt at realism, I decided to go for cute! The little chubby couple looked great on top of the cake, sitting on their favorite sand bar, fishing!
