Last weekend ended up being the busiest yet! I had two cakes that I made for two very different occasions. The first was a memorial cake for a special woman who enjoyed spending much of her time on the beaches of Southern California. I made a simple 12-inch square cake that I covered in baby blue fondant and adorned with fondant sea shells and sparkle dust. I was very happy with the cake!
The second cake I made was for the Palo Verde Rod & Gun Club to commemorate the opening of dove hunting season. I'm starting to get more adventurous now with the figurines, so I made a sleeping hunter and his dog, who wasn't sleeping, but keeping an eye on the doves!
