I was just looking at my blog and realized how long it's been since I updated it! Goodness, time flies. Life's been busy, but I've managed to squeeze in a cake or two. One of my favorite projects was for the wedding of my friend's daughter, Heather. Heather was marrying her sweetheart, Brandon, one week before they were moving to Okinawa, where he would be stationed with the US Marines for three years. It was an absolute pleasure doing their cake for them.
For the guests I did cupcakes in 3 flavors: white vanilla with pink buttercream, red velvet with cream cheese and chocolate orange apricot with limoncello frosting. For the bride and groom I did a simple red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, covered with white fondant and decorated with the bride's flowers - stargazer lilies.
The vanilla and red velvet cupcakes were adorned with custom fondant hearts with the bride's and groom's initials.
Here I am with the final table.
