Wow! Just when I thought I couldn't get busier, I got orders for three different events for the same day! This was my first time doing cakes for children - there was a 1-year old girl and a 3-year old boy - and I was very happy with how they turned out. The princess-themed party for the 1-year old was well-attended, so I made the main cake in the shape of a tiara along with a separate matching sheet cake. The birthday girl got her own star-shaped magic wand cake!

The cake for the 3-year old boy was based on the cake I got for my birthday a couple of years ago - a dirtbike track complete with whoops and a finish line! The parents wanted a chocolate cake, so I made chocolate mousse to top the cake since the color was more like the color of dirt. It was delicious!
